It is so hard to believe that summer is almost here! Our theme for this summer is: “Read for the Win”. In thinking about this theme, it is such a true statement. The children who read actively throughout the summer months are definitely winners! They are able to keep their minds active and are able to avoid the “summer slide”. Reading and keeping the minds of children active help transition them back into the school setting when the new school year begins. Reading is not just for children, however. The summer months are a great opportunity for adults and teens to sit outside, get some fresh air, and READ!! Reading truly helps everyone become winners!!!
Adults will be playing “Library Bingo” this year. Anyone who is interested in playing will have the opportunity to win some great prizes.
